What does stress Bring?

Stress is our brain and body's response to demands.

Any type of event, whether positive or negative, can trigger stress, and to some extent, stress is a part of everyone's life.

Stress is often seen as harmful, but not all stress is detrimental. For example, it can motivate people to accomplish challenging tasks. Stress doesn't just affect our feelings; it has broader impacts. It can also affect our physical health. An example is a tension headache or "stress headache." Stress can also impact our appetite, sleep, raise blood pressure, and more. Prolonged or chronic stress can affect our cardiovascular, immune, digestive, and gastrointestinal systems.

Fortunately, there are many ways to cope with stress. Some may work better for you, but they all contribute to managing stress in a healthy way.

When you're feeling highly stressed, you can do some simple things, including:

  • Talking to someone about your feelings.

  • Staying connected with people who care about you and whom you care about.

  • Engaging in enjoyable activities.

  • Exercising regularly.

  • Striving for sufficient sleep.

  • Maintaining a balanced and healthy diet.

  • Breathing in fresh air.

  • Helping others.
